![]() I rate this book 8 out of 10 because it is a great book but i think it could be better in some parts. Even though it had a sad ending, I felt all emotions through this book! It was sooo amazing, I read it in a day! I loved this book: the bond between the boy and the lion was impenetrable. I really liked the Butterfly Lion because it is a mix of feelings, some bits were sad and other bits were really good.In Butterfly Lion the little boy finds a baby lion and decides to take it home and look after it but one day the mother and father tell him that he has to go to school and sell his lion! This book is about how the little boy grows up without his lion and how he went on a quest to go and find him. My favourite character is Bertie a warm-hearted, kind boy who is the main person in the story.Īll in all I know this book is great for everyone at all ages.Ĭhloe from Year 5, Saltersgate Junior School: I could not put it down! I think that this book would got both boys and girls to the heart and could fill your soul with joy. I also found that some of this novel left me on an amazingly jaw-dropping cliff-hanger. I rate this brilliant book a fabulous TEN OUT OF TEN because it really got to me - emotionally - and made me cry at the end! I found it very exciting, sad (in a good way) and very, very detailed in a majority of the book. So far we have received 30 reviews of The Butterfly Lion.Ĭerys from Year 6, Saltersgate Junior School: ![]()
